Time Out!

Hello friends,

First of all, I have to apologize to everyone for not updating my blog as frequest it used to be. After long days of work sometimes it's just hard to brainstorm thoughts and put it in written words. Furthermore, my little girl is growing fast. Everyday it is something new with her. Today she suprised us by singing the song 'Ibu' in her baby talk version with hand movements and facial expression and forced me to join her. She was hilarious.

As the story for my paintings, long story cut short, I'm trying to find the time to finish the pieces. I have so many unfinished UFOs. Some are finished but not varnished and some are just basecoated but not painted. Sometimes, I yearn so much to paint but my mind and body is just too tired.

Decorative painting should be done in a very relaxed environment. That way, you can concentrate on the details like the highlights, shading and line works. If I were to start a piece, I must have ample of time to do it. When you rush, the results will be dissappointing.

I hope I can get back to painting soon. I have put so many ideas in my painting journal but when will I be able to execute it? That's a question I should ponder....

Roses Plaque

I painted this plaque with roses for my hubby's colleague as a retirement gift. Hope she likes it.

Decorative Painting or Folk Art Class

Dear friends,

I'm going to have Decorative Painting or more familiar as Folk Art class at my house in Rawang soon.
The classes will only be held on Saturdays from 9am - 12pm (3 hours). Also please note that I cannot spare additional hours because of some personal commitments. If a painting could not be finished on time during the classes, you can continue on the next class or challenge yourself as a homework.

The fee is RM50 for each 3 hours. Materials are not included.
You can choose to buy on your own at Craft Haven, One Utama or buy a starter kit from me.

Kelas Folk Art akan diadakan di rumah saya yang terletak di Rawang bermula hujung bulan September ini. Kelas ini hanya diadakan pada hari Sabtu dari pukul 9 pagi hingga 12 tengahari (3jam). Untuk makluman, saya tidak boleh memperuntukkan masa lebih daripada 3 jam kerana komitment dan perlu uruskan anak.
Jika kraft tertentu tidak dapat disiapkan pada waktu yang diperuntukan, ianya boleh disambung pada kelas akan datang atau anda boleh mencabar diri menyiapkannya di rumah sebagai kerja rumah.

Bayaran RM50 dikenakan untuk setiap 3 jam. Bahan-bahan tidak disediakan.
Anda boleh membeli sendiri di Craft Haven, One Utama atau boleh membeli kit permulaan dari saya.

Frustrated!!!

As I was making some changes to the blog layout, all the previous design which I loved so much disappeared. I really feel sad and frustrated because I had to do it all over again aarrrgghhh.....
What a day!!!

Something for the Kitchen

This piece I painted for a friend, Selina Anthony. Soon she is moving to a new home and will be having a house warming. So, she requested me to paint 'A Kitchen Prayer' with a colourful design.
What's more for a kitchen if it's not teapot, teacups, kitchen utensils, pastries, fruits and vegetables. After 2 months of juggling with work and painting, finally I was able to finish it.
